Our Story
Sontaya and Issara are part of a trio of villas lovingly owned by a family who frequently stays there. They open their doors to welcome guests, inviting you to explore and enjoy local Thai life. These villas reflect a deep passion for the region and a commitment to sharing its beauty with others.

Khun Nee first visited Khao Thong over a decade ago, guided by her local Thai friend. Mesmerized by the beauty of the location, she returned in 2021 and purchased the villas, which were then in a state of disrepair. Over the next two years, she, her father and their team dedicated themselves to rebuilding and renovating the villas, transforming them into the stunning retreats they are today.
Passionate about supporting the local Thai community, the family ensured all previous staff remained employed throughout the renovations. They hired a local project manager and collaborated with a renowned Thai architect who has worked on international governmental projects, redesigning the villa while preserving much of its original structure. Local artisans and craftsmen were employed for the interior finishes, upholstery, and art, ensuring an authentic touch.

A significant effort was made to be eco-conscious, including installing drinking water taps in each kitchen to eliminate bottled water use, implementing wastewater treatment with granulated active carbon and additional filters, tree preservation, and preserving as much original furniture and decor as possible. These actions reflect a commitment to sustainability and preserving the natural beauty of the region.

Villa Manager
Khun Fon, our dedicated villa manager in Krabi, is here to assist you throughout your booking and stay. As a local to Krabi and an experienced real estate agent, she knows the area inside and out and is passionate about sharing its beauty with our guests. Her love for the region is contagious, and her son enjoys kayaking through the mangroves in nearby Ao Thalane, making them true ambassadors of the local lifestyle.
Khun Chatchai
Garden, Maintenance, Pool
Khun Chatchai has been an integral part of our villa team for over a decade. Residing in the local village with his family, he has dedicated years to cultivating our beautiful gardens. He provides daily gardening and pool servicing, and promptly addresses any maintenance issues. Always happy to go the extra mile, Khun Chatchai will even get a fresh coconut from our trees for you during your stay.
Khun New
Housekeeping
Khun New lives in the local village with her family and is our dedicated daily housekeeper for the villas and is on-site until 5pm 6 days a week. A trained and passionate cook, she delights in preparing meals for the family using fresh local ingredients. Guests can request her to cook breakfast and lunch (subject to charge and ingredient availability). If interested, please ask Khun Fon, who will be happy to coordinate.
